Sitting in such a vibrant and diverse community, West Jesmond Primary is committed to supporting children who may be new arrivals into the UK or who live in homes where English is not the only language spoken. Ann Edwards helps children develop their English language skills through play, allowing them to fully understand the curriculum taught.

ICT Support Officer
We have invested heavily in ICT, audio and visual equipment which every child can use. Derek Stuart supports children and staff to access all equipment. Interactive learning is a central part of the learning experience for children at West Jesmond Primary. Key Stage 2 children have access to a secure Virtual Teaching Learning Environment which Derek administrates. For West Jesmond Primary pupils only, the VTLE allows children to continue their learning experience outside school hours and interact with other pupils.
