Graduation Ceremony
We are organising an outdoor, socially distanced graduation ceremony for each Year 6 class. For the last week of term, each class will only attend school on the day of their graduation. Children come to school for the whole day, arriving at their usual time and guests can join for the graduation ceremony at 2pm.
Please note that if your child has NOT returned to school, they can only attend the ceremony.
- 6W – Monday 13th July (parents to arrive from 1:55pm)
- 6S – Tuesday 14th July (parents to arrive from 1:55pm)
- 6M – Wednesday 15th July (parents to arrive from 1:55pm)
The Year 6 children will have the opportunity to receive their graduation certificate and their yearbook from the Year 6 team.
For this event we are having to limit guests to two per child (this includes siblings and younger children). We will operate a one-way system and have socially distanced spaces for the guests to stand in the playground.
For the ceremonies, please queue at the school gates nearest to the bike shed.
The exit will be through the Year 5/6 gates. After the graduation ceremony, children will leave school with their family.
For any children not attending school, they are still welcome to come to the graduation ceremony and can arrive with parents at 1:55pm on that day
Yearbook
We have collated all of the children’s responses for the Yearbook and this is currently being printed so they will have a very special keepsake of their time in primary school.
T-Shirt Signing
For children attending school who are in a bubble, on the day that they are in on the last week, they can bring an additional clean school polo or light coloured top and pens. We will organise for each of the children’s tops to be signed in a safe way.
Children will not be able to get the polo top signed that they are wearing.
Leavers’ Hoodies
For anyone who has bought a leavers’ hoody, the children are fine to wear these to school from when you receive them. We request that these are alternated daily with the usual school jumpers so that uniform is being washed after each day. All other uniform should be continued to be worn as normal.
Books
It will be possible for children to bring home some of their books containing their school work, including art portfolios. These have been sent home on Thursday 2nd July for children attending school.
For any children currently not attending school or the graduation, if you would like your copy of the Yearbook and any books containing children’s work, then these must be collected from the school office on the morning of Thursday 16th July.
If that is not possible, please contact your child’s class teacher to make alternative arrangements otherwise the books will be disposed of at the end of this term.
Reports
End of year reports will be sent out on Thursday 9th July. They will be given to any children in school and posted out to any children not attending.
