Pupil Premium

In 2011–12 schools were allocated additional funds known as ‘Pupil Premium’ to provide additional support or resources for children from low-income families who were eligible for free school meals or who had been looked after continuously for more than six months.

From April 2012 the Pupil Premium was extended to include children who had been eligible for free school meals at any point in the last six years. A premium has also been introduced for children whose parents are currently serving in the Armed Forces, children who are looked after or children who have been adopted. To view the school’s Pupil Premium Policy, detailing our rationale for how the premium will be spent, please follow the link below:
At the beginning of each financial year a Pupil Premium spend plan is created detailing how the school intends to spend the premium during the financial year ahead. At the close of each financial year, a final spend statement is created (replacing the spend plan) proving a final breakdown of how the premium was spent.
